Therapy and support for addiction, relationships, and healing
We help individuals and couples find a healthier path forward. Therapy begins where you are — not where you think you should be. Hope is possible. Healing requires honesty.
Addiction therapy
Addiction is not the whole person. It may have shaped your choices — but it does not define your worth. At Hope & Love, we do not meet people with condemnation. We meet them with truth, compassion, and a practical path forward.
Together we explore what is driving the dependency, develop healthier patterns, and build a plan grounded in honesty, accountability, and your own values. Healing is possible when shame is replaced with support.
- Alcohol and substance use disorders
- Behavioural addictions (gambling, pornography, gaming)
- Shame and self-worth recovery
- Relapse prevention and harm reduction
- Trauma-informed addiction therapy
- Co-occurring mental health (anxiety, depression, PTSD)
- Recovery and identity — reconnecting with who you are
Couples counselling for addiction
Addiction does not only affect behaviour. It can affect intimacy, trust, communication, and the ability to feel safe with each other. When addiction enters a relationship, both partners are affected — and both partners deserve support.
Repair may be possible where safety, willingness, honesty, accountability, and support are present. Hope & Love helps couples communicate honestly, rebuild safety where it is possible, and discern a healthier path forward — together or separately.
- Couples counselling where addiction is present
- Rebuilding trust and communication after betrayal
- Intimacy and emotional reconnection
- Conflict resolution and boundary-setting
- Relationship repair counselling
- Separation support and co-parenting where needed
Partner support therapy
Loving someone facing addiction can be painful, confusing, and exhausting. You may be unsure whether you are helping or enabling. You may be carrying emotional responsibility that was never yours to carry.
You deserve care, clarity, and support too. Loving someone does not mean losing yourself. Hope & Love helps partners find grounding, develop healthy boundaries, and move forward with clarity — whether the relationship continues or not.
- Support for partners, family members, and loved ones
- Understanding the difference between helping and enabling
- Setting and maintaining healthy boundaries
- Compassion fatigue, grief, and emotional recovery
- Navigating codependency with dignity and grace
- Self-worth and identity support
Faith-informed counselling
Hope & Love welcomes spiritual reflection, grace, and faith-informed support as part of the healing process. For many people, faith is a source of strength, meaning, and hope — and it belongs in the room.
Faith-informed counselling at Hope & Love is invitational, not coercive. We use language of grace, spiritual reflection, and meaning-making as tools for healing — while remaining clinically responsible and respectful of each person's story and beliefs.
- Integrating faith, grace, and spiritual reflection into recovery
- Navigating religious shame and spiritual injury
- Meaning-making and purpose in recovery
- Faith-based boundaries and accountability
- God or grace as a resource — never as a pressure
Shame and self-worth counselling
Shame often tells people they are too broken, too far gone, or too much to love. But shame rarely leads to healing. It keeps people stuck in secrecy, disconnected from support, and unable to pursue accountability without self-destruction.
At Hope & Love, we help people face what is true without losing sight of what is still possible. Accountability without shame. Grace without minimization. Worth that is not conditional on being perfect.
- Shame recovery for people struggling with addiction
- Shame-informed work for partners experiencing betrayal
- Rebuilding self-worth and identity after addiction
- Accountability without self-condemnation
- Reconnecting with purpose, values, and meaning
Hope does not mean denial. Love does not mean enabling. Support does not mean carrying what was never yours to carry.
