Most couples do not arrive because of one big event. They arrive because the same argument keeps happening, because conversation has thinned out, or because distance has quietly grown between two people who still care. Whether you are newly struggling or have been stuck for years, therapy can help you understand the pattern you are caught in and find a way back to each other.

Hope & Love offers couples therapy for partners in Belleville and the Quinte region, in person or by secure video.

What couples come in for

  • Communication that turns into the same fight, or into silence
  • Rebuilding trust after betrayal, secrecy, or addiction
  • Disconnection, roommate dynamics, and lost intimacy
  • Navigating a major change — parenting, illness, money, or a decision about the future

How the work is done

Matt is trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), which helps couples move out of the cycle of blame and withdrawal and toward understanding what each partner is really reaching for. Sessions are balanced and non-blaming; both people should leave feeling heard.

In-person in Belleville or virtual across Quinte

Belleville is one of Hope & Love’s two in-person locations. You can meet together in person here, or join securely by video — useful when work schedules differ or one partner is travelling. Virtual sessions reach couples in Quinte West, Napanee, and Prince Edward County.
